"Borboleta Veleja" is an illustrated children's book that follows a butterfly who finds her purpose in life as she sails for the first time. It is an invitation to contemplation and an encouragement to have the courage to follow your own dreams.

The book’s aesthetics were intended to convey lightness, fluidity, movement, and joy, while also sparking the imagination of both children and adults. For that reason, the illustrations float between representational and abstract. Furthermore, I aimed to create a mutualistic relationship between image and text, allowing the visuals to support children in interpreting the story.
A estética do livro foi pensada para transmitir leveza, fluidez, movimento e alegria, além de despertar a imaginação de crianças e adultos. Por isso, as ilustrações flutuam entre o representacional e o abstrato. Além disso, busquei criar uma relação mutualística entre imagem e texto, permitindo que as imagens auxiliem as crianças na interpretação da história.
